The Hope Series of paintings came about while walking with Hope, the greatest dogfriend. She is very fond of river stones. Through Hope I also discovered a great fondness for stones. Not in her way of chasing and digging, more the colours, natural stripes and textures...

It is so humble, and solid, and huge even when but a small stone. So at peace with the water, air and sun's affects.
