I have had the idea of creating a piece with a gigantic paintbrush for a number of years. A month ago, on a walk, a friend started drawing on a frozen, snow dusted lake with what looked like a giant pencil. I joined in, and the inspiration was reignited.

The past month I have been making my own paintbrush from a fallen tree in the woods, collected horse hair from a friend's farm for the bristles, and a lot of research, trial and error has gone in to making my own pigments, inks and paints out of natural sources.

Yesterday the dream came real with these two pieces in the series, Dance of the Mountains.
